Friday 12th August 2022 was a momentous day for the team at Amies, marking Bob Balls transition to the role of part-time Chairman from that of Managing Director.
Bob initially joined Amies as Quality Manager 31 years ago, progressing to the role of MD a few years later.
In his time as MD Bob has built the Amies team and businesses to their current high technical level through his strong leadership and clear vision.
Bobs’ new role as Chairman means he will stay closely involved with the business, providing invaluable support and the benefit of his many years of experience to his successor Simon Stewart-Smith (formerly Amies Technical Director).
That’s of course when he is not indulging (more like suffering) his two passionate hobbies of Fishing or more recently Golf to which much of his new found free time will be devoted.
All Bobs team at Amies wish him a long and happy retirement!
